Its really after next season that a large window opens up for them to either cut him or trade him without incurring a ton of dead money.

There is no way Wentz gets traded. First off, Jalen Hurts is not an NFL QB (and I'm an Alabama fan). Jalen seems to be one of the elite athletes and best people to come out of college in some time. With that said, is accuracy throwing the ball is awful. At best, he can be a Taysom Hill type player. Using a 2nd round pick on him was a terrible decision.
I just don't see how the Eagles give up on Wentz knowing that they will probably have to use their 1st rd pick on a QB in 2021. Would the Eagles be better off with Trask or Mac Jones?? Hard to say, but its one heck of a gamble to give up on a guy who looked on the verge of becoming elite not all that long ago and is still very young.

The one thing that would change my opinion, and only those close to the organization would know this, is if Wentz has been damaged by Foles winning the SB and now by the team taking a QB in rd 2 . That can be tough to deal with and he may need a change of scenery to get his confidence back.

Eagles now leaking to the media that they have every intention of keeping Wentz long-term. Take from that what you will.

Too expensive. If he takes a 90% pay cut I'd give a 5 for him.

Mac Jones wouldn't be terrible. He'd at least be an upgrade over Jimmy.

My order of preference:

Lawrence (pipe dream of course)
Rodgers (also pipe dream)
Wilson
Stafford (unlikely but possible)
FIelds
Jones

I'm not sold on Lance. I'm open to being convinced I'm wrong, but I just wasn't that impressed with his throwing to wide open WRs with ginormous windows and the fact that he hasn't really played this year.

Just saw on tv that Wentz wants out of Phi if they go with Hurts. If his head can get back in it,he has the deep ball to make Shanny's offense devastating.

No effin way. That offense has completely collapsed around Wentz, and the guy is trying to do too much to salvage that ship. He looks mechanically and mentally out of shape. I'm not interested in a restoration project.
