I think it makes sense for both teams.
Would be an easy choice. Do you think a 2nd or 3rd rd pick can net a speed rusher? Derrick Moore or any of another 10 players that could also fit new defense scheme. Rookie contract would be under team control for 4 yrs as opposed to 1 yr for herbig
Should be the sweet spot for a DPR. Not a lot of exciting 1st round 3 down edge rushers in this draft, but very deep with undersized pass rush specialists.

The #49ers are expected to have interest in WR Mike Evans per @JasonLaCanfora 👀

Should the Niners sign Evans?

I would do this for sure at the right price. Makes too much sense.
Too expensive to sign him AND Doubs you think? That way we would only need to sign one top WR in the draft and can focus on OL and pass rushing DL/EDGE

Evans might get that Adams like contract. I have no clue what Doubs is gonna get. Spotrac has him down for 4 yrs $48M while reports say he's gonna get like $20M per.

Not bad. Was only a 12 mil cap hit last season and they can get out of it this year with minimal hit if they needed ton

The #Falcons are planning to franchise tag standout TE Kyle Pitts, sources say, keeping their playmaker in the fold on a 1-year, fully guaranteed deal worth more than $15M.

The hope is to work out a long-term deal rather than the tag. The two sides have until July to do it. pic.twitter.com/dwtlUbKxz7

This could be a good move on a really short deal. The 49ers WR room is going to be extremely young next season. Mike Evans can still play and would give Shanny a guy he could trust. Evans at X; Pearsall at Z; a rookie or one of the 2nd/3rd year guys could play in the slot.

Jennings is a FA and Mike Evans is far superior as a receiver, even at this stage of his career. Physicality in the run game is a different story, maybe.

Can you really say that though? WRs usually fall off a cliff quick at his age. We're already one of the oldest offensives in the league as well. Wouldn't be mad if we signed him but I'd rather just keep Jennings. Granted with how much Purdy loves to throw it up for grabs on 2nd down Evans would help alleviate that stress
