IDK about the colts. I think they will be on the decline. Lost their LT to retirement and their best WR is FA. Not really alot of weapons. PIttman and Taylor look okay but nothing special. Defense has alot of FAs as well.
That could actually be a ripple effect of them targeting Trent Williams if we don't sign him before free agency. Castonzo's retirement freed up 16 mil and overall there going to have like 60 mil in cap space.

After watching the lions new head coach press conference no wonder Stafford wants out. That team might be in fire sale mode- real quick- if you think about it.
Stafford is probably screaming his lungs out to get him out of there. A second and a third- with later compensation- and salary cap relief brings him to us?

Would the Lions trade him in the NFC?
If the niners have to make a trade with the 12th pick, obviously I would prefer to go all in on Watson.
I would even consider trading up for a QB in the draft.
Still, Stafford is really good. You don´t find that kind of talent very often.
I think that he ´s the prefered option of Shanahan based on his preferences or his little chat with Brady apparently last year. Martin Mayhew should know very well Stafford and the kind of leader he is.
Because like it or not but Garoppolo is loved by his teammates and a strong leader. The guy that is going to replace him has to be quite the leader also. That seems to be the case obviously with Stafford or Watson but you never know.
Damn this sport is hard.^^

Not only trading in the NFC but we're going to have to negotiate with a long time Ram as their new GM.

I assume you mean TY Hilton and he hasn't been their best WR. That's for sure. The colts have elite players at a lot of positions and have a TON of cap room. Plus Houston and Jacksonville suck so they get 4 easy games next season.

This place is nuts, if you can get Stanford and the cost doesn't extend beyond this year. You do it and thank the football gods. I don't hate Jimmy the way some do, but Stafford is a staggeringly clear upgrade.

Stafford is literally perfect for this offense. We should have no hesitation giving up #12. This team is much better than the 12th pick so if we stayed healthy last year we would have been picking at least late 20's. Give up 12 + a small bit if you have to and I'm sure you can recoup a mid round pick for jimmy from a team like NE or Chicago

I wouldn't have NE on the list. Multiple FA on the OL and a bunch of nothing to throw too.

Sure he's played in every game but a lot of the times he's playing hurt.

Yep. He's tough but always hurt.
