#49ers and Dee Ford need to work out a long-term deal before the trade sets done. A 5-year deal worth over $87M is in the works, per ESPN.
Guaranteed amount is gonna be most important considering all his injuries
Help me get this: Ford SAM, Warner MIKE, Kwon WIll?

Nah, Ford is the Leo. Josh Allen or Bosa will be the SAM

Is this guy worth the hype? He's seems to be okay, much better than what we have on our roster. But his costly penalty in the AFCCC is what sticks out the lmost to me at the moment..

There always has to be that one guy

Bosa is not playing SAM.

Okay then, enlighten me with your thoughts. Asking a legit question, looking for quality insight.

I think he was being sarcastic. See the funny face. But its this place so who knows?

Holding one bad play against the guy is kind of ridiculous. He had double digit sack seasons in 2016 and 2018 and was one of the top edge rushers that the 49ers could conceivably acquire.

Kwon Warner Ford
Bosa Buckner Thomas Armstead

I'm good with that...

And yes, I know our alignment is always changing and it will be a mix of these guys and others at different times.

But if you have a front 7 with Bosa and Ford bookending Buckner, and Kwon and Warner behind them... I think you're doing alright.

Well...he was arguably the top edge rusher in the NFL last year (top grade on PFF)...certainly in the top 3. He's in his prime at 27 years old. He fills the 49ers biggest need and was the best edge rusher on the market.

I think the better question back is....given the season he had, how can you be focused on a single play? Ok, it was a bad play but should that really be the focus? Every player has bad plays here and there. His was in a big spot and I'm sure he learned from it, but there are no perfect players.

Not holding that too much against him, I know he's light years ahead of anything we've had in a while. Just wanted to know how he fits our 4-3 system as a hands in dirt DE. I hope he's worth what we are about to pay him.
