The problem with acquiring him is you have to give up draft resources AND give him an exorbitant contract.
I would love to have the player but that'll be a pass for me.

Pass, he's no Khalil Mack. That's the only time you give up picks and break the bank

All depends on the price. I'm not giving up #2, #36 or 2020 1st. Any other combination of picks I'm cool with trading for Ford.

I'd offer a 4th...a 3rd max if Lynch feels like he can't sign another pass rusher in free agency.

Don't want. Always thought he was overrated.

Not sure why some are so against giving up a couple picks for a legit edge rusher. Ford isn't a great player, but he's better than anyone currently available as free agents.
Once we don't trade any first or seconds in this draft or in 2020, I'm good with any other reasonable package of picks. Some other team probably beats that offer though.

He's had one year of production, injury issues, you'd have to give up significant draft capital and sign him to a 100m dollar. The one year of production is what scares me.Originally posted by Nastastical:Not sure why some are so against giving up a couple picks for a legit edge rusher. As I said, for the right price I'd do it. Meaning no first or second rounders. We also don't have to sign him to a LTD.
I'd try and pull off the same deal for someone like Vic Beasley and Ford is coming off a much better season.
Our only other option is signing someone like Fowler or trading for Vernon/Houston and their high cap number for the next couple seasons

So we'd trade draft capital to let him walk? He had 13 sacks, he's going to want get paid for a long term deal. And it'll be something big.Originally posted by Nastastical:Originally posted by philosoraptor:He's had one year of production, injury issues, you'd have to give up significant draft capital and sign him to a 100m dollar. Fowler, Vernon(assuming he's cut), ansah, Preston smith, Za'Darius Smith, shaq barrett are all options in free agency and would be upgrades.
I think it's all moot because I imagine someone will give a first for him.

He isn't Khalil and he had one really productive year and it happen to be his contract year? This would be a move I wouldn't be mad if the rams make itOriginally posted by Kalen49ers:Originally posted by philosoraptor:So we'd trade draft capital to let him walk?
