That would be nice, however, at his age (whatever that actually is), he would probably say no to a short term deal.
In this pass happy league, someone is going to give him a multi-year deal with some protection against loss of playing time due to injury.
He may get that offer. But I doubt it would afford him the upside he would prefer. A one-year fully guaranteed deal with a chance to hit the market again in 2020 could allow him to maximize his value AND protect him for injury.
Yeah, That's essentially what the article I read on him the other night said. What got me thinking about this.
