And yet he has almost as many career sacks 13 as Marsh and Attaochu have combined 16. Two off the main guys who will be playing the Leo on passing downs.

I get what you are saying, however, playing alongside Von Miller will help your numbers.

I hope Lynch gives his buddy Elway a call.
This would be a nice idea. Jimmy Ward or Armstead & a future pick

This thread brings to mind Lynch's comment about bringing in someone new when you already have someone similar on the roster.
Comparing Ray to Jeremiah Attaochu on PFF stats:
Ray is graded 73 in pass rush and 45 in run defense.
Sneeze is 62 in pass rush and 72 in run defense.
Is it worth it bringing in such an unbalanced player as strictly a pass rusher when you already have a guy who is more balanced all-around?
If I were an opponent, whenever I see Ray in the game, I will run right at him.

A lot of people in here have clearly never watched Ray play. He was stuck behind Von Miller and Demarcus Ware in '15/'16 and still had 12 sacks in two seasons as a backup. He was hurt in 2017. Not saying he's the next big thing, but he's a player who is absolutely an upgrade over what we've got.
But it's all good because we've got Eli Harold and Arik Armstead, right?!

I'll be honest I have not seen him play much but I would be willing to give anyone a shot at this point.
We have been left in a very bad position regarding our pass rush.
I think we were 6th worse in sacks last year and have done very little to instill confidence that it will be better this year.

I would deal with a draft pick. Lynch does a piss poor drafting players anyways...

Having watched Ray play... he has started more games than you are giving him credit for, and when he was backing up, it was due to the Broncos being ahead and the other team was already forced to pass every down.
He has pass rush skills but there is a reason Shaq Barrett just got a pay raise and had bronco nation calling for him to start over Ray. If he isnt rushing the passer on a known passing down.... Ray is a liability on defense.

He wouldn't make much difference on our team. If he was legit Denver wouldn't have needed to draft another pass rusher. I'd take him over armstead but wouldn't expect more than 2 or 3 sacks on the year

The ability to rush the passer on a known passing down is probably the only thing this D is missing. Even if he only plays when it's 3rd & 6 + he'd Be worth it.
