Trumaine is a much better fit for what we need in a boundary corner, IMO.

Don't want butler at all. Wasn't good last year. He would be an upgrade but if we are gonna spend a lot of money we need a top tier guy. Butler isn't that anymore.

Trumaine Johnson. Best press corner in the NFL and a much better scheme fit than Butler.

Before I can answer that question I have to answer these two questions:
1. Is Johnson that good, or did he look better by playing behind a monstrous D-line of Barwin, A. Donald and Quinn? It sure does help a guy out to have those 3 going after the passer.
2. Is Butler that bad(or more like not that great) or was he targeted a lot more because Gilmore was playing so well and so high profile?

Johnson is a better #1. In our scheme, his talents will be even more on display

Depends on $$$. People are down on Butler after a somewhat disappointing season but he's also been a Pro Bowler and a second team All Pro in his young career.
One CB got to play behind an absolutely dominant pass rush, another with little pass rush to speak of.
I think Johnson is a better fit overall but I don't believe the gap is really all that wide.
