If it pushes Kittle into a #2 role I'm all for it. Though, it appears they have a similar skill set with Burton having better hands. Would imagine Shanahan wanting more diversity. But you never know.

Trey Burton can ball out, would be a player hungry for a starting opportunity. Don't see him as the type to mess it up if given the chance. Has learned from Celek and ertz, knows the game. Could teach kittle a thing or four. Healthy history. Way cheaper than a graham and eifert, and way healthier.

Seems like he makes plays in his opportunities. Im definitely intrigued and glad to monitor him. I rather habe Delanie doe for a "right now" push.

I'm pretty high on him. I think he will have a similar jump to Delanie Walker when he left the 49ers. He was used for his blocking, and his pass catching became secondary. I don't think he'll have the same numbers as Walker ended up getting, but around 40-45 catches as a #2 would be phenomenal

Burton is very athletic with hands, given an opportunity to start the guy can get you 60-70 receptions easily. He's a quicker version of jimmy graham.

Burton would start for us, both him and kittle together inside the 20 would be nasty as receivers and blockers.

Burton is going to get paid this offseason IMO. I would feel totally comfortable rolling into 2018 with Celek and Kittle so if Burton becomes too expensive, i would pass.
I think Burton will be the most sought out TE on the market this offseason. Graham is older and regressed, will probably get a short contract. Eifert is always hurt. Brate is a RFA and will probably be tendered. Also, not alot of TE depth in the draft

He wouldn't get paid top dollar as a TE, we have money, TEs are hard to come by that produce consistently, he's young as well.
People want to shell out money that's not even there's for prove it acl deals (makes sense), if it was there money, they'd spend more on a proven healthier product (something they don't think about since it's not their money).

I'd take Burton especially in a hard to come by productive position over the likes of shelling out $$$ to a Watkins or limited catch radius effort in Robinson.

Sign me up. Trey Burton has a nice skillset to him. I think Jordan Reed is a nice comparison for him. Burton along with Kittle would give the team two athletic tight ends that can move and get down the field in a hurry to stretch a defense. Both offer blocking ability as an added plus.

Delanie is 33, will be 34 at the start of next season. That ship has sailed.
