Allen Robinson best FA WR

No, none of those guys can duplicate what Goodwin does to defenses, and I can't see Shanny moving Garcon. That's his guy. Garcon would play outside and share time in the slot with Trent Taylor.

I imagine they'd like to ease Robinson in as he regains his complete health and learns the offense.

I agree one hunnit with your first paragraph.. I think goodwin can be used in the slot a lil too, especially say in a trips bunch formation.
You want Goodwin outside to make safeties and deep-zone coverage teams feel uneasy. Squat on a route and Goodwin flies right by you. The threat of 4.2 vertical speed single-handedly clears space underneath for him and his teammates.

Part of the attraction to Robinson is that bringing him in allow you to knock Garcon and Goodwin down a peg and have an exceptionally well rounded group.

Robinson - red zone, big play, possession
Garcon - possession
Goodwin - stretch, possession
Taylor - 3rd down

Yup. I agree one hunnit. Thats why im cool riding with Garcon and Goodwin next year. Im not taking Goodwin out who can take the top off and with improved route running seems like hes a threat for a first down catch/big 20-30 yard gain every pass down.

Sign Gabriel and draft a WR to groom on the outside. Garcon was ballin with Hoyer lol.

I think you only do it if you trade Garcon.

Trade him to the Pats

This would be amazing, Jimmy G would throw for 350 a game easily..

Best part -- all it takes is one easily affordable FA signing. :)

Garcon is a vet in Shanny's system who once put up 1300 yards and this year was on pace for 1k with no qb. It will be hard to out muscle his spot.

Goodwin has came onto the point where you have to pencil him in as well.

I might be a tough sell to convince Robinson to come here when he's a guaranteed starter elsewhere.

Maybe you can argue the Sanu role but Goodwin is not Gabriel he's an every down player outside of the red zone. Then you got Taylor in the mix as slot guy as well.

1 injury away from big stats do you make that bet though?

Goodwin would quickly be bumped down to the #4 spot.

1-Robinson
2-Garcon
Slot-Taylor
4-Goodwin

I still don't think Robinson hits FA though.

Did Shannahan run 3 receiver sets in Atlanta? This might be a good crew to run it with, especially if they upgrade the oline a decrease the need for the extra TE to block.
allen robinson will be a great signing, but it should be a 1 year deal. just to see if his knee is good.

I agree with this. It will need to be a fully guaranteed year right around the franchise number ($16m) to make it attractive. But, you're right.

Yes, he used Sanu opposite Julio and brought in Gabriel or Hardy in 3 WR sets. He seemed to used Hooper and Toilolo more frequently in the redzone.

(I'm going to be crushed when the Jags tag him lol)

This would give Shanahan & Garoppolo plenty of options during every game next year & stress defenses to the max so we are not one dimensional in any way
