Patriots just got snubbed by Rishard Matthews for the Titans....the TITANS!!!???

So, based on the theory no one is signing with the Niners because of York / Baalke / Kelly, I / we can assume not one wants to play for perennial contenders based on the fact the Patriots have not signed a "Big Time" FA as of today....and lost out on Matthews to the Titans?

If you really think Harbaugh didn't want to weasel his way to Michigan, I don't know what to tell you.

Harbaugh wanted a raise and didn't get it from dipshhit York. Harbaugh wanted more control on the roster and didn't get it from dipshhit baalke so a divorce was iminent

There was virtually nothing that would've stopped Harbaugh from going to Michigan. Don't you think he'd be elsewhere in the NFL with that raise and roster control if that's what he really wanted? He could've gotten both elsewhere, but he chose to go to Michigan instead.

I am guessing that was purely about money and maybe not freezing his a** off in Foxboro all season after being in sunny Miami. I think that in the Niners case the problem is that we have to pay even more to make up for the incredible expense of living here and our management is tight with the money as it is. Add to that the fact that everyone has heard about how dysfunctional the team is in the national press and probably from players as well and that we aren't doing much to improve and get competitive, and -all things being equal--we are going to lose out to most other teams if money is close.

We used to get players to come to SF with free houses and cars and extra stuff not tacked onto the salary cap. That was frowned upon, lol. Now you gotta do it with straight cash homie. We have a couple of tight wads that won't do it.

I think I'm starting to believe the theory that between the perception of the FO being fairly inept and Players not being fond of Chip Kelley, it has made the 49ers a place very few want to come to. The Draft may be our only hope and I'm losing confidence in Baalke's drafting prowess.

Do you not listen to NFL radio or read any other sports news? Since last night they were saying the Raiders and 49ers were the two teams left in the running to land him. That means his agent was flapping both teams back and forth to get the best deal. 49ers already said they would not overpay for anyone. Well when you don't have an attractive FO more money is what it's going to take. Of course the player could also just tell his agent no way I'm going to SF so just take what you can get from the other team.

That's the part I'm afraid of. I'm starting to feel (yes, FEEL) like that is what is happening. Too many mistakes over the last couple of years has taken it's toll on me. I will get over it because I will always be a Fan. I will be hopeful of a good draft and some good, mid-tier FA's in the next several days.

Yet I still FEEL similar to the way I felt many years ago right after Eddie D was forced to sell the Team and the York's ineptitude slowly took down the Franchise (yes, we were in Salary Cap Hell, but I FELT like ownership under Eddie D was always striving for a winning Team. Now I feel like the York's got their Stadium and don't give a damn about winning. Again.

Ding Ding....there it is.....plain and simple...MONEY....and an organization(s) that are not willing to throw money at FAs that don't warrant huge contacts.
