I pulled these names from Bill Polian's list and he has grades on them that are similar or better to many of the big name free agents. Case in point: Casey Hayward is a B+ and Sean Smith was a B.

Definitely a bit depressed after Day 1. I really expected the ONE signing by the FO to make the Fan base a bit optimistic.

Does anybody really know from a solid source whether or not we actually made a competitive bid on a FA who turned it down to elsewhere?

I think I'm starting to believe the theory that between the perception of the FO being fairly inept and Players not being fond of Chip Kelley, it has made the 49ers a place very few want to come to. The Draft may be our only hope and I'm losing confidence in Baalke's drafting prowess.

Team has no chance with Baalke/Jed. After they jettisoned a winning coach Harbaugh, Aint no one wanna come here unless its out of desperation and even then they still say no thanks. At least he shoulda gotten rid of Baalke a Long Time ago but for some ungodly reason, he holds onto him Like the Sultan and Jaffar in the movie Aladdin

Do you not listen to NFL radio or read any other sports news? Since last night they were saying the Raiders and 49ers were the two teams left in the running to land him. That means his agent was flapping both teams back and forth to get the best deal. 49ers already said they would not overpay for anyone. Well when you don't have an attractive FO more money is what it's going to take. Of course the player could also just tell his agent no way I'm going to SF so just take what you can get from the other team.
