If he doesn't restructure, that leaves you $74,000 under the cap.
This is before we get the 4 million back form Carlos Rodgers.
This team is so beast.
Won the draft before it even starts...

I swear, some people refuse to be happy with anything. Hes our 3rd WR, and he could be a 1 for some teams. We hardly gave up anything.

this

If he doesn't make the roster, whoever we might get for a 4th round pick would not likely make the roster either so there is little to lose here. After all, we still have 5 picks before we would even get to what we would be giving up for Johnson.

lol well considering Johnson is had 3 straight 1,000 yard seasons before last year, its pretty safe to say he makes the team.

Not bad -aren't we paying Boldin 6 mil a season?

Yeah pretty much so.

This likely ends Crabtree's stay in SF.
This is what I was talkin about last night: Why have Baalke risk evaluating rookie WRs which he's proven to be bad at when you can utilize FA or trades to acquire a known quantity? Save the draft for defense which Baalke is 1000 times better at drafting!!!
I don't understand this by Buffalo. I know they are trying to replace the 2015 4th rounder they lost to Cleveland, but don't they want to be as good as possible since they won't have a 2015 1st rounder anyways??
Amazing trade! Definitely gonna have to restructure but I have high hopes for our passing game now.

Wrong question.

Right question: how good is he.

Perhaps Steve Johnson will replace Boldin's $6 salary slot for 15-16. As much as I want Boldin to play forever, you never know how quickly a WR can decline when he gets to his mid 30s. Not sure what the ramifications (dead cap) of cutting Boldin after 14-15 is though.

Compared to what Crabtree will be demanding, those numbers look good.

I do expect a restructuring of some sort. Lots of money tied to incentives.
Nice!

I think people underestimate his potential improvement by just being on a better team too.
Wow! What a deal! Now we have one of the best cores in the league. No excuses for Kap

they just traded big to get watkins, previously added mike williams from tampa and already had robert woods. they had to make a move.

Great move!! I'm assuming this means we will stock up on CB/DL/OL today?
