Braylon Edwards

Braylon Edwards does not scare me that much...

Each of our division opponents are stacked with a good to great 1-2-3 set of receivers and nice RB tandem. We have a great RB tandem and the best TEs in the division by far, but that doesn't mean all that much when they're blanketed because we have no WRs that can consistently get open. That basically takes away our entire passing game. Then, with no passing game, they just stop the run, and we're helpless.

So essentially, because our receivers are so bad, our entire offense becomes hampered. We need WR help. We've not done much to correct this, both neither in FA nor the draft. Look at our division. . .

Seahawks
RB - Lynch, Leon Washington, Forsett
WR - Sidney Rice, Mike Williams, Golden Tate, Deon Butler, Kris Durham, Ben Obomanu
TE - Carlson, Morrah

Rams (if they get Ronnie Brown)
RB - Steven Jackson, Ronnie Brown, Toston
WR - Sims-Walker, Amendola, Donnie Avery, *Greg Salas, *Austin Pettis, Mardy Gilyard, Danario Alexander
TE - *Lance Kendricks, Hoomanawanui

Cardinals (if Edwards signs)
RB - Ryan Williams, Beanie Wells, Stephens-Howling
WR - Fitzgerald, Edwards, Doucet, *Roberts, Stuckey
TE - Heap, *Housler
Cardinals are looking good... we have an above average chance to finish in the cellar and if the 49ers are looking to tank this year to get Luck honestly I would not mind that one bit.
i read that edwards might have to take a 1 yr deal

We have better receivers than the Rams! Crabtree, Morgan, Ginn, and Zeigler produced more than Sims-Walker, Amendola, Gilyard, and Alexander last year. Avery didnt play last year but he's always injured so he doesnt scare me. I think even Tarell Brown could shut him down.

Other than Fitz the Cards receivers are trash. If Edwards signs, oh well. Kolb sucks too. Their running backs are nothing either. Heap isnt much of threat anymore.
Mike Williams had 10 more yards than Crabtree but 4 less TD's. Golden Tate has potential but who's throwing to him? Tarvares Jackson?

I wonder what other teams' fans say about the 9ers?
If you give Kolb weapons like Fitzgerald and Edwards, he'll produce. Seeing as to how our secondary is terrible right now, that doesn't bode too well for us.

Look at the Cards. What other than Fitz worries you? Kolb? If he's that good Reid would have kept him. What quarterback has played well after leaving Philly? They relying on a rookie RB to carry them? Beanie Wells is trash. He had less than 400 yards in 13 games. Gore had 850 in 11 games. Even if we don't add to our o-line its still better than theirs.
If Bradford makes the jump into the top 10 QB's then the Rams can be good.
NO WAY!

He sucks

You put it together.

No one is coming here because we got Alex Smith

This sentiment X infinity. Until Alex Smith is gone the team is in perjatory

You have got to be kidding me. The guy can do some damage, especially if Larry Fitzgerald is on the other side of the field. It's a joke how everyone looks at upgrades to other teams and says "ehh, I'm not worried about him." The fact is they're getting better.

fitz/boldin and fitz/breaston scared me more than fitz/edwards would

And Fitzgerald/Doucett would probably scare you even less. The point is they've just upgraded and our fans are sitting around acting like it's no big deal.

People have to relax. What fa wr do the steelers have and the packers, both teams that were in the superbowl. People here wine about wanting to draft "this wr in the forth round or this wr in the sixth. What's the point of drafting them if we are going to burry them on the depth chart with some name guy that was a first round pick at one

You do realize Philly had Kolb signed though 2011 (he signed a one year 12.25$ million dollar deal in April 2010) prior to his trade, which he had requested. He'd have walked had they not dealt him. He lost his job last year after being concussed in the 1st game of the year and kept out of the second for precautionary reasons. Vick had an MVP type year....what did you expect Philly to do ?

As for what QB has played well after leaving Philly (in the Reid era)...what young QB who still possesses untapped potential with good upside has Reid ever let go before Kolb ? Let's not forget Kolb has 7 starting games only under his belt.

And Wells has yet to live up to his draft status, but has been nicked and dinged up since coming into the league...his knee was bothering him all last year so this is make or break for him. I wouldn't say he is trash considering he has flashed that potential...now he needs to live up to it or step aside. But don't discount a rookie RB,it's the easiest transition (college to pro's) in the game and he can make an impact from day one.

Arizona also signed Heap to provide a short term safety valve for Kolb while he mentors and they develop their 3rd round pass catching rookie in Housler.

Bradford does not need to make a jump to the top 10 QB's for St.Louis to be good, he just needs to continue to improve. They are attempting to solidify a lot of the weak areas and are in a strong position to win the division this year.

Gilyard, Alexander, Pettis and Salas have as much upside as Ziegler, Morgan, Johnson and Williams. Ginn is pretty much maxed out IMO. Development of the young guys for both teams is key.

Right now the odds are in our favor....to finish last in the division unfortunately.
