I just don't see how Cincy lets him go. They can pay him more than anyone else, and they have to open their wallets anyway you look at it.

Would you want to play football in Cinci? lol NOPE

Spencers contract

9/20/2006: Signed a six-year, $20.425 million contract. The deal contains $8.5 million guaranteed, including a $6 million signing bonus. 2011: $3.1 million, 2012: $3.2 million, 2013: Free Agent

any chances we try to get him regardless of Nnamdi?

That would be phenomenal to snag up both... we could make a real run at this division if we did that.

Recent memory of the Niner's free agency "doings" tend to make me believe it aint happening......Niner's FO is boring hence a boring @$$ football team
Awesome... like I said on the other thread we should have told him don't sign until you hear from us. We can beat or match any offer. We've been so caught up in Nnamdi I was worried we would be putting our eggs in one basket. This way if we don't get him we can at least try for Joseph. Might mean we have given up on Nnamdi but if we haven't it is a smart backup plan.

P.S. Fix the spelling of his last name.. that's a bad omen.

Leon Hall is a FA after this season. Rey Maualuga is due for an extension. Rivers and Whitworth could play themselves into position one as well.

RB is still unsolved as well.

They can offer him a truck load no doubt but they have other concerns as well.

Why stop at two, lets go get R. Marshall.
On ESPN insider it has been saying that he would leave Cinci for $1 more. Don't blame him.

I googled this guy and can't find anything on a Dion Caputi, except a LinkedIn profile for a college student in Canada who likes writing and sports.

This is all BS.

And, they get all of the 2011 season to add future contracts to this year's cap number. So, they will probably have to offer lucrative extensions during the season.

In this situation.... yes, I still am trying to see how using sarcasm in that situation makes sense.
