You guys realize that most of these leaks originate from the player's agents, right?

So all of the superfluous descriptors are agent and media spin.

Pssst...ESPN, niners are serious about obtaining my client asomugha.

Pssst...espn, there's been a lot of interest in my client Joseph. Even the niners jut expressed interest.

So, mr brown, how much did you want to offer JJ again?

In this situation.... yes, I still am trying to see how using sarcasm in that situation makes sense.

You must of missed the anti-FO salvo that was fired a few hours ago

Hey, if that's what it takes to get our front office's heads out of their butts than so be it. No different than when we all are like so and so should be starting or benched and the coaches don't see it. So we hope Maiocco will bring it up in a press conference to get the idea in their heads. (IE the punt return situation a few years ago with Battle, Jones, etc)

I just don't see how Cincy lets him go. They can pay him more than anyone else, and they have to open their wallets anyway you look at it.

Because that would be the smart move and the Bengals dont make smart moves.

Not saying it happens, but I wouldn't be surprised if he wanted out of worst organization in nfl. look at everything palmer is going through....you think guys value that team and want to play there?

There's a reason why stars want out & leave Cincinnati..look at Corey dillon, chad Johnson, palmer, even Takeo spikes couldn't wait to get out.

Let's hope hes interested!

One factor going against Cincy retaining Joseph is their stupid owner...he's refusing to trade Palmer, who's counting big-time against their cap, despite not playing.

Matt Maiocco of CSN Bay Area reports that the 49ers have not yet cut ties with CB Nate Clements.
Maiocco concedes that he's "back-pedaling" after initially reporting Clements had been informed of his release. NFL Network's Jason La Canfora and ESPN's Adam Schefter both report Clements remains on the 49ers' roster and has not been told otherwise. Yet. Clements' $15 million in salary and bonuses is still extremely hefty for a cornerback whose performance is no longer elite. We'd still expect him to be cut if the 49ers "settle" for a corner like Johnathan Joseph if they don't land Nnamdi Asomugha.

I know its just speculation, but stil....its Maiocco.
The niners have decieved us. Lied baldly to our faces and look innocently like children who ate all the cookies. Shame.
