His play was poor in 09 as well, so thats not really an excuse. Yes, he was a pro bowler, that was many, many years ago. Hes nowhere near Matt Birk was when he signed with Baltimore.

Kreutz is still a good center. The rest of that line consisted of scrubs. He has a history of being a rock solid player and durable. Martz's scheme did the team no favors in terms of pass-pro. He's not 36, he just turned 34 and should still have a couple good years left. Only other feasible options are Johnathan Goodwin and Chris Spencer.

Profootballfocus.com, sorry for not posting the source. His grade in 09 was negative as well, though not as harsh. He has become poor in both run and pass blocking. 7 years ago, hed be a positive addition, now, hed actually be a downgrade, from anyone. Hell, gimme Cody Wallace, wherever he is.

Just more of the know-nothing armchair GMs wanting to sign anyone who is a 'name'.

Cool, looks like you have to pay to see the stats tho . I was curious how our guys performed last year. I'm still willing to give Kreutz a mulligan tho, last year was a terrible time to be a lineman for the Bears.

Kreutz would be a good pick up. Dude has played on a HORRIBLE OLine the last few years. I would take our O line over the Bears last year. You cant turn your nose up at a 6 time pro bowl center, he obviously needs a change of scenery. The only knock on him is he can pick up stupid penalties at times (he bulldozes dog piles after whistles or after play is dead).

They offer plenty of free content if you search hard enough. One interesting tidbit is that they actually rank Chilo very highly, on the basis of his run blocking though, not so much his pass blocking. They are the best in the business though when it comes to grading players on an individual basis.
