if we're gonna bring in a situational pass rusher, i've always liked Roderick Green for us. He always did well on every down he was in, and consistently pressured the QB and got a few sacks. I thought he was decent in the packages we used him

Brooks is moving closer towards replacing Lawson as a starter. Late last season Brooks would replace Lawson on passing downs. I think the Niners are looking for Brooks to improve his run defense skills (ability to recognize plays) before naming him the fulltime starter over Lawson but I expect it to happen at some point this season.

I get the feeling the team might trade Lawson. Don't know why, other than the fact he missed the voluntary OTA's in a contract year. I think he wants to play OLB on a 4-3 team.
They could possibly sign La boy to back up Haralson and Brooks if that was the case.
