i was thinking the same.
but i always try to make myself feel better and think that we'll do just fine without the big names.

FA is the devil. A field of landmines with an occasional diamond.
While I agree the miners could do better in FA- I have always been very skeptical of it.

let me ask you this....where has spending a ton of money on free agents and giving away draft picks, gotten the washington redskins, you can ask the chicago bears the same question after this season is over as well

the bears have a good reason for it this year, they dont have any draft picks early.
otherwise i doubt they would have gone on that spending spree.

I'm not saying Break the Bank, or send all of our draft picks. I'd be satisfied if Jed or Mike said "We tried but what they wanted was ridiculous."

That didn't answer the question. He said what teams got better, and you pointed out 3 insignificant points.
Playing by your logic, we were 1 miracle play from beating the Vikes, Patriots didn't break any passing records last season and didn't go to a SB, and Crabtree has better hands and looks to be just as productive as Edwards.
So again, what teams got better?

Look at the 2 superbowl teams from this year N.O. and IND. All of their BIG NAME players were drafted except for Brees. And Brees wasnt considered a big time player when he signed with NO. Pay attention to the rest of the league, we arent doing anything different.

Good point, Tavaris Jackson would've taken them to the NFC championship. Kellen Clemens to Jerico Cotchery would have gotten them a 9-7 record. Welker or Stallworth would have caught all those TD passes. You sound like your fine being mediocre. Ok, have fun with that.
