or he wouldn't really have to leave the area if he signs with us

he has a scheduled visit to KC planned. This thread is misleading because there is not a scheduled visit with the 9ers planned.

Justin Fargas has a visit scheduled with the Chiefs, and “several” other teams already have contacted the free-agent running back, according to the San Francisco Chronicle...
Fargas also discussed the possibility of moving across the Bay to the 49ers to reunite with his former running backs coach, Tom Rathman, who was with the Raiders from 2006 to 2008. But Fargas didn’t say if he was contacted by the team.

then why on their website does it say Fargas couldn't confirm that he has spoken to the team?

Plus I agree with the other posters, I bet he wont leave KC without a contract, plus he is going there first. Nothing like beating the Raiders twice a year right?

I think hed rather "reunite" with Tom Rathman (he was the running backs coach on the raiders for 2 years) and would rather not have to move instead of moving nearly across the US

but he might have a chance to be the starter in KC. I'm sure he would move anywhere in the US for more money and the chance to start.

No way he starts over Jamal Charles. Jamal Charles reached 1000 yards and only started in 8 games (he started to get playing time after they cut Larry Johnson)
