This would be a great pick up! He is a hard running, no nonsense kind of guy with some speed. Raiders only released him because they have a stable of back, some with a heavy price tag.

I would actually approve of this pick, he is a tough and aggressive runner.
This.
Fargas is the PURE definition of the the term 'Workhorse', the type of player you want for those 'grinding' first-downs when there's only 2 minutes left on the clock.

Sign him up. He's a young 30. In 7 years he has only had 800+ carries.

Ya, he reminds me of Maurice Hicks. Runs really fast into a pack of guys. Haven't seen someone get hit as hard as Fargas since Eric Johnson.
Another waste, I think McCloghan is just trying to mess with Willis now

YAY for getting backups thru free agency
Fargas is a good tough RB my friend.
i was trying to mock everyone who is pissed that we aren't doing anything 'big', but i miserably failed at the sarcasm.
i dnot mind the addition, but which rb would be left out?

Exactly. He's a guy Rathman has to know well, from his time in Oakland, and one wonders whether Rathman has anything to do with setting up this visit.

Always thought Fargas was a solid back but im not sure how big of an uprgade he would be over Coffey and I think Coffey's job is safe for at least another year so I would rather draft a RB who can eventually replace Gore (Coffey is a solid backup at best, IMO)

I kinda doubt he makes it outta KC without an offer...But if he was smart, he would say screw KC and come to SF where he has a better chance of being on a winning team

has this been verified with a reliable source? this is all I can find?
Justin Fargas has a visit scheduled with the Chiefs, and “several” other teams already have contacted the free-agent running back, according to the San Francisco Chronicle...
Fargas also discussed the possibility of moving across the Bay to the 49ers to reunite with his former running backs coach, Tom Rathman, who was with the Raiders from 2006 to 2008. But Fargas didn’t say if he was contacted by the team.
