I've been wanting LaBoy to come to the 49ers since he entered the draft. But as injury prone as he is, I'd rather just draft Brandon Graham, Sergio Kindle, Jerry Hughes,shoot or even Koa Misi.

I know he didn't play in 2009 but in 2008 he was utter gash, check this link out:

Clearly the worst 3-4 OLB in the league

I'll pass on this guy and try and develop Brooks further.

He's a better version of Jay Moore. That's not saying much. But at the very least, he'd be camp fodder.

He can take Harris's spot as a back up.

I think the numbers on your link are a bit off, when you click on the two links they both have each players number of snaps with a two different numbers. And what's up with Haralson's sack total, only 5?? But I think you underestimate LaBoy, hes very quick off the snap and gets in the backfield a lot, but hes also been bothered by injury a lot too. Shoot Haralson started all 16 games for us and only managed 5 sacks the entire year, and I believe he was in on almost all of the teams defensive snaps last year. He only played in a 3-4 last year, he was playing with his hand down in Tennessee.

Interesting news. With the emergence of Brooks, I didn't think that OLB would be that high of a priority.

Well the staff has to take into consideration that Brooks just had a hot streak and isn't emerging to do anything.(ex. Brandon Moore). [b]LaBoy is a decent OLB and this team really needs the depth at that position.

I agree with this statement, but I'm wondering 1) what "depth" would cost us and 2)
if LaBoy would demand to start. Also, can LaBoy play either side well?
