Dumb question but when a player is released he can be signed and picked up immediately by another team correct? We don't have to wait for free agency to get him (or any other guys who get released)

During the season, players that get cut get put onto the waiver wire. When a team claims a player off the wire, they are responsible for the remaining contract.
But since it's free agency now, the player that gets cut is a UFA - free to sign with anyone.

I know that some zoners like this guy, I don't, I think he is a LB version of TO.
What do you think?? Should we pursue him as a FA??

I think we should. i know he has some tude but he's got that swagger! He'd bring another good solid Vet prescence. He's a Cali guy! Would be great addition. Seriously look past his attitude, and he's a gamer!
would be a great addition to the team & would allow Brooks to play more reps at the end position since Balmer is obviously on his way to bust city!

plus playing a 3-4 you can never have too many quality LB's! Hell he could even spell Spikes in the middle. It gives our coaches more options to be creative with different schemes

Does that mean he can sign at anytime or does he wait for the free agent period?
