49ers' Emmanuel Moseley visited specialist; Kyle Shanahan hopes to get him back this week

The San Francisco 49ers have a compromised defensive backfield. That was evident during the team's 43-17 loss to the Miami Dolphins on Sunday. Richard Sherman and Emmanuel Moseley opened the season as the starting cornerbacks. Sherman hasn't played since Week 1, but head coach Kyle Shanahan hopes he can begin practicing this week. Moseley has missed the last two games as he continues to recover from a concussion he suffered during Week 3. Moseley recently saw a specialist, and Shanahan sounded optimistic about the cornerback's return. "He did see a specialist. Bill Barnwell of ESPN proposed 13 trades that could happen before the deadline on November 3. The San Francisco 49ers are involved in two hypothetical scenarios. The first is a trade that sends defensive back Tarvarius Moore to the Cleveland Browns in exchange for tight end David Njoku. Kyle Shanahan, Fred Warner hope 49ers, Santa Clara County can find a way to safely get fans in Levi's Stadium

The San Francisco 49ers have yet to host any fans at Levi's Stadium this season, even as teams in other states have started opening their gates to a limited number of game attendees. It looked like that might change soon when, on Tuesday, California issued new COVID-19 health and safety guidelines that would have allowed up to 13,000 fans at Levi's Stadium for future home games.
