On October 6, the San Francisco 49ers and the Arizona Cardinals will face each other at Levi's Stadium on Thursday Night Football. Throughout the 2016 season, every team will wear custom Nike Color Rush uniforms for their Thursday matchups.

Love it or hate it, you probably remember the Color Rush from last season, which was limited to just eight teams during four Thursday night games. Those included the infamous Christmas themed matchup between the Buffalo Bills and the New York Jets, which confused the heck out of some color blind fans. Then there was the mustards versus the ketchups game between the then St. Louis Rams and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

In April, NFL Leaks (@NFL_Leaks) revealed a preliminary template of the color schemes for all NFL teams. It was never really known how legitimate that leak was, but it spread like wildfire through the media outlets. Today, they revealed an updated chart that shows the color schemes of each team along with their Thursday night matchup listed.

The new chart shows the 49ers wearing all gold, which is the same color scheme as the chart from April. However, their opponent for that game, the Cardinals, are now shown as wearing red. They were previously listed as yellow, which would have made an awkward yellow mustard versus brown mustard game. The 49ers' all gold color scheme would go along with their helmets.

Last season, the 49ers debuted all black uniforms and wore them during two home games. Those uniforms, like the Color Rush, had very mixed reactions from fans. They were dreaded by the media because the red numbers on the black jerseys made player identification very difficult. "It's hard to write a game story when you don't know whether Garrett Celek (88) or Vance McDonald (89) is catching the ball," said Matt Barrows of the Sacramento Bee during a fan chat this week.

More should be revealed as the season approaches. Good or bad, it will be interesting to see what these uniforms look like. So get ready for brown mustards versus ketchups.
