How will Kaepernick see playing time in 2011?

After the draft former QB Trent Dilfer said the 49ers would be smart to develop Kaepernick but putting together 3rd down packages for him. Today Matt Barrows said that maybe a Tebow style goal-line or red zone package might be a way to get #7 on the field. If you remember last year when TB shut out the Niner at home, Josh Johnson made an appearance in their "wild-cat" package. He will replace Alex by week four when Alex gets booed out of the stadium and runs away to never be seen again.

Or he will replace Alex after he breaks his shoulder yet again.

Either way dude will be playing in 2011.

assuming the season starts by late September allowing a 16 game season to still be played....

I doubt they will make any special packages for him. I think the most likely scenario is that he sees ZERO playing time. I think, barring an incredible training camp, that he will be the 3rd QB most sundays.

I know that's why the bulk of the choices are to give him playing time "sparingly".

Although because of our recent history of poor offensive coaches everyone is assuming there will be a need to bring him in sometime between week 4-10
