I'm thinking Cobb should be the 3rd WR off the board. i think Torrey Smith is overrated. Nice work

I actually agree with you. I like Cobb better overall as a player because he brings a lot more versatility to a team, despite lacking the size that Torrey Smith possesses. Cobb is #3 on my positional board, with Baldwin and Smith being 4 and 5, respectively.

Yeah i agree. It just seems that every year there is a prospect form MD that looks great at the combine but doens't always impress on the field to me.

A good friend of mine played at Maryland for four years and swears by their strength and conditioning coach. They do tend to produce some athletes with terrific speed numbers.
However, in Smith's case, I tend to believe that he will be a solid pro. Unlike DHB, Smith was a really solid college WR with terrific hands. He's more than just a burner.

There seems to be so much defensive talent in this draft it seems stupid to move up. I would much rather be moving back and collect picks.

This is true as well. To be clear, all three of those receivers are players I've tabbed with 1st round grades. I do think Smith needs to land in the right place though.

You're all very welcome.
My Draft Cheatsheet / Positional Draft board can be downloaded here. If you'd like to help bump the thread to keep people aware that they can get this, the thread is here: http://www.49erswebzone.com/forum/thread.php?num=154205
I understand everyone will not agree with my grades, but it is a good resource nonetheless.

Please set me straight. What are the knocks on Cam (Greatest to least).

-Rarely had to read defenses and rarely faced blitzes, so he didn't have to coordinate blitz pick-ups.
-Ran a super-simplified offense at Auburn, clearly not a pro-style. So he not only had a simplified playbook, he worked almost strictly out of the shotgun.
-Very inconsistent/poor mechanics. Often makes shotputted arm throws because he doesn't set his feet, which can cause the ball to sail or float.
-Scouts question his football IQ.
Overall -- will he be able to correct his physical issues, and overcome the mental hurdles he'll face in the NFL. He will need to take on way more responsibility than he did at Auburn, and it remains to be seen if he can.
