Beerows was also Just on the radio & said he cant confirm there will be a visit to the niners cuz fargas' agent won't return his calls

NFL Netowork news and notes shouldn't be a source. There isn't one other site on the web that has confirmed that Fargas is coming in for a visit.

He is in Kansas City today and might schedule a visit with us after then, but right now everyon is reporting "interest" but no visit can be confirmed.

The title to this thread is very misleading.

Don't spoil my fun. I have dreams of Carr handing off the ball to Fargas in 49er uniforms.

If they're just going to nibble around the edges, I'd kind of rather them do nothing at all and stop wasting money. What does Fargas bring that we don't already have?

Faster than Gore & Coffee, familiarity running in a ZBS and Solari wants to implement both man and zone blocking with our OL and Fargas has size.

Its bothering me people are thinking we are bringing him in to sign him like its a done deal, yet no one can confirm that he is even coming.

The only thing on nfl.com is this: http://blogs.nfl.com/2010/03/07/fargas-will-visit-chiefs-has-contact-with-other-teams/

And it says he probably called Rathan, probably to gauge the Niners interest, but it doesn't report that any visit was set up. That goes against the NFLN news and notes, and its the same company!

Anyways right now we may have interest, but that doesn't mean he's coming in.
Good to know that a guy like Fargas is calling our RB coach for advice. We'll just have to see. Good work on the sluething zoners.

MM is reporting more of the same, likely true that we will bring him for a visit. Doesn't mean he will be offered a contract.

Veteran running back Justin Fargas, 30, whom the Raiders released over the weekend, has visits scheduled to meet with the 49ers and Chiefs, the NFL Network reported.

I like Fargas. Too bad he was stuck on the Raiders. If we can score points and have a balance attack then he'll be a good pick up. He's fast as hell.
49ers | Probably not interested in Fargas

Matt Maiocco, of The Santa Rosa Press Democrat, speculates the San Francisco 49ers won't make a big run at adding free-agent RB Justin Fargas (Raiders). Fargas is 30 years old and does not bring any value as a return man on special teams.

What RB would bring value as a return man for the Niners? I can think of two. One's name is Reggie, the other is CJ.

I really hope the Niners go after one of them.

But thats going to cost a 2nd rd pick. Thats pricey!

We have the draft to get a return man, I`m not really worried about that. I do think that Brian Westbrook in a limited role could be explosive for us though. And he should come at a modest price. He is better than Fargas, thats for sure.
no thanks i would rather have gore, coffee, and m-rob
Some of you have been asking about the 49ers' interest in free agents Justin Fargas and Leon Washington. There may have been some casual conversations about those guys, but the team doesn't have any serious interest. As a rule of thumb, things usually aren't serious unless a visit is scheduled.

I told you so! Fargas never scheduled a visit. On NFL Network notes it says Report: Fargas to visit Cheifs and 49ers. But it failed to mention who reported that, and it wasn't seen anywhere else on the web. Therefore it never was true.

So once again
