Yeah if Nate got cut.

Why would Nate be cut if he's our best corner? lol

For whatever reason somebody ask the question which starter this thread "Is Shawntae Spencer our best CB?". For that to happen Nate would have to be cut.

Seriously Clements our best corner? Haha thats funny, I remember him getting burnt by Roddy White, then when we were going to play the Colts, he got demoted for the nickel back position. Dont get me wrong, I like Clements, but the past 2 years a lot of people have complained that he wasnt worth all the money we dished out for him, especially for someone that proclaims himself as a "SHUTDOWN" corner.

Shawntae's a better cover CB...Nate's the better tackler. Put those two together and you'd really have something. I'd like to see Singletary draft the best CB on the board after he gets his OT (hopefully Bulaga). We need better depth behind our starters...neither Bly or Tarrel Brown really gave Singletary reason to be satisfied.

Spencer can tackle

spencer is without a doubt the best CB we have. the funny thing about that hit was that spencer didnt even hit him head on, it looks like he hit him from the side. he probably wouldve killed him if he hit him dead on lol
I think Shawntae has been our most consistent corner. Nate has flashes where he'll play good and then tank a few. Tarrell Brown is coming on but Shawntae is pretty consistent.

Does everyone agree that Shawntae Spencer is our best corner? I mean he has the size, decent speed, good height and is very physical. I believe he is the man heading into the 2010, and I trust him more playing opposite against our opponents #1 WR. I couldnt really think of a WR that really blew past him or gave Spencer a lot of problems in a game. So looking forward, Spencer is looking better than Clements, and Brown. Hopefully we can get our own guys, sign a FA or draft someone that can play opposite with Spencer without having to worry about giving up the big plays.

With you saying this makes me want to draft at least two cornerbacks asap! With tremendous speed and playmaking abilities.

How can you give Awareness and Coverage to Clements? Seems like he wouldn't have gotten burned so bad this season if his coverage and awareness were any good.

he was the best cover CB last year, I think Clements is still the best overall CB on this team when 100% healthy.

Spencer is very underrated. I remember him shutting down R.Wayne when they played against the Colts. When Manning threw that long ball to Wayne, I thought it was a for sure TD, until I saw Spencer come from nowhere and knocked the ball down.

Wayne had 12 catches for 147 yards. Through 6 games last year Roddy White was the only featured receiver to have a big game against Clements. Clements is the better corner, but Spencer does a fine job against the opposition's # 2 receivers.
