Could this be true, already?
49ers RT Marvel Smith has not looked right physically. There's a strong chance he is going to retire after being in NFL for nine seasons.

Hope this isn't true, but would explain a lot. If it is true, our tackle depth just got shot.

Oh man I hope not. I thought he has played real well in the pre-season and is a valuable, valuable backup at RT and LT. Back to Barry Sims?

i believe it. he hasnt play at all. there is a reason, you know? ive been worried since he stopped practing with us..

That would suck big time. Why would he go through all training camp and retire now? I hope he doesn't cause RT is our biggest question mark IMO and it would make it even worst.

He played in both pre-season games and played well.

wow this would be the worst off season ever he was our big signing and Crabtree hasn't signed
