Will Andy Lee kick into the Video Screen next week in Dallas?

In case you missed it the Titans kicker hit the back of the video screen at the new CowGirls stadium last night Jerry Jones wasn't happy with the kick, not so much because he felt that somebody on his engineering team screwed up by placing the video boards too low, but because he seems to think that Trapasso was trying to hit the board on purpose. When asked whether he thought the scoreboard should be raised higher, Jones snapped: "That's not the point. How high is high if somebody just wants to sit there and kick straight up? "If you look at how you punt the football, unless you're trying to hit the scoreboard, you punt the ball to get downfield. You certainly want to get some hangtime, but you punt the ball to get downfield, and you sure don't punt the ball down the middle. You punt it off to the side." Later, Jones reitirated that he would not be moving the scoreboard higher. Trapasso and the regular Titans punter, Craig Hentrich(notes), think that's a bad idea. Said Hentrich: "I hit it probably a dozen times in pregame," Hentrich said. "Probably somewhere around a five-second punt is going to hit it and some of the guys in the league wouldn't be able to punt here if it's not raised, they'd just be non-stop hitting it. I don't know what the people were thinking. I guess they should have tested things out before they put that thing in place. It'll have to be raised." Yahoo Sports Story

That Jones quote just proves he's a bigger idiot then anyone thought.

Oh and I would love to see Lee hit that damn screen and it falls onto the field (obviously not hurting anyone).

That screen is an extension of Jone's ego and I would love to see someone deflate it.

Besides if punters keep hitting it, the league will fix the problem.

haha, I was going to post a topic about this, especially since I live in the DFW area and that is all I am hearing. Jerry Jones will be the 2nd coming of Al Davis (his quotes clearing show that is starting). I will be at this game of course and I just hope we win the game. I know its preseason and it does not matter, but I still want the win.

BTW. Lee could hit it if he wanted, he can boom kicks that high.

Note to remember: Football players, coaches and teams win games. Not stadiums. cowcrap jerry jones stadium is a 100 yard field, with 10 yard endzones and 2 goalposts. Better football teams will be able to go in there and smack them around like before. 49ers gave the cowboys a couple of beat downs at texas stadium in irving. 1995, where Elvis Grbac went nuts on them, 38-20. 2000, 41-24, Gardner over 200 yards rushing and T.O. runs to the star. Hopefully next saturday we can start a new tradition on the arlington stadium. ( i know its preseason, but I still want the win)

By rule, the ball is dead and fourth down is replayed if the ball hits the video screen. As such, I think they're going to have to raise the video screen. You've just got to know that punters are going to be aiming for it, and after it happens a few times and disrupts the game, then the league is going to mandate that they raise it.

i hope jones loses his marbles like davis did. that would be awesome to not worry about the cowgirls for decades to come haha
