Dear Mr. Georges St. Pierre

Hi, My name is Chan Sung Jung from South Korea. As one of many Koreans who like you as an incredible athlete, I feel like I should tell you that many Korean fans, including myself, were shocked to see you in your gi designed after the Japanese 'Rising Sun Flag'. For Asians, this flag is a symbol of war crimes, much like the German Hakenkreuzflagge. Did you know that? I hope not.

Just like Nazis, the Japanese also committed atrocities under the name of 'Militarism'. You can easily learn what they've done by googling (please do), although it's only the tiny tip of an enormous iceberg.

Furthermore, the Japanese Government never gave a sincere apology, and still to this day, so many victims are dying in pain, heartbroken, without being compensated. But many westerners like to wear clothes designed after the symbol under which so many war crimes and so much tragedy happened, which is ridiculous.

I know most of them are not militarists. I know most of them do not approve unjustified invasion, torture, massacre, etc. They're just ignorant. It's such a shame that many westerners are not aware of this tragic fact. Wearing Rising Sun outfits is as bad as wearing clothes with the Nazi mark on it, if not worse.

Since you're influenced by Japanese Martial Arts, you're wearing a headband designed after Japanese flag is understandable. But again, that huge 'Rising Sun' on your Gi means something else.

Many people say GSP is the best Welterweight fighter throughout history, to which I totally agree. This means you have a great influence on every single fan of yours all around the world. And I do believe you're wearing 'the symbol of War Crime' is a very bad example for them, not to mention for yourself.

So, what do you reckon?
Do you want to wear the same Gi next time as well?

Think so? Dylan manhandled his first opponent and Sonnen admitted that they misjudged Dylan from the start.

What a finish! First fight too. I'm sure Tyson was loving it.

He didn't impress me in his 1st fight, I thought the tall guy would knee the crap out of him or get him with reach...........Dylan definitly impressed me in this fight.

yeah i agree he didn't look so great in his fight to get into the house. IMO he's the most improved since the season started.

Nick Diaz to file complaint regarding drug testing, weigh-ins regarding his fight against GSP. Watch rematch, or have GSP vacate the title.

http://www.espn.co.uk/ufc/sport/story/199534.html#

......a video has emerged of UFC executive Michael Mersch telling Diaz moments before the UFC 158 weigh-in that both he and St-Pierre would be allowed to tip the scales at anything up to 170.9lbs.

"They're going to allow you and Georges to have an extra hour. Just in case somebody doesn't make it," Mersch said. "But the good news is, they don't count the decimal. If you're 170.2, it's 170. If it's 170.9, it's 170."

...

"The Quebec Commission's statement is a disappointing admission that the March 16 event was not conducted under the rules applicable to a UFC title fight - or under the rules the fighters contractually agreed to, upon which rules Mr Diaz was entitled to rely under his bout agreement," said Jonathan Tweedale, a Diaz camp representative.

"Section 168 of the Regulation respecting combat sports provides that the maximum weight that a fighter must achieve at the official weigh-in shall be determined in advance by contract - and if the fighter does not make the contracted weight - in this case 170lbs - then 20% of his purse or 'the contestant's remuneration' will be deducted and paid to his opponent (subsections (7) and (8)). The contracted weight for this fight was 170lbs. 170.9 is not 170, anywhere in the world, for a title fight. There is no question what '170lbs' means, in the bout agreement, as a matter of contractual interpretation.

"The Quebec Commission deliberately relaxed the rule in this case and, by its own admission, allowed their hometown fighter to 'make weight' even if he weighed more than the contracted weight."

At no stage is proof offered that St-Pierre did, in fact, weigh in at 170.9lbs, or anything over the 170lb limit. However, the Diaz camp believes there is enough of a grey area to force the rematch.

"In the circumstances, Mr St-Pierre remains legally and ethically obligated to fight Mr Diaz at 170lbs or else vacate the belt in favour of those prepared to fight at welterweight."

President Dana White was contacted on the issue by Yahoo, who quoted a text reply from White saying: "If GSP weighed 170 or 170.9 doesn't change the fact that [Diaz] got dominated."
LOL Ken Shamrock vs. Ian Freeman fighting this Summer
Looks like the UFC on Fuel card this weekend is in jeopardy.

Alexander Gustafsson suffered a really bad cut during his last sparring session and has not been cleared to fight Gegard Mousasi this weekend.

Damn, I was really looking forward to this fight.

I have not seen Gil Melendez in this great of shape in a long time. I still think Ben Henderson wins it, but it should be a great fight.

I gotta say Uriah is so damn cool and accurate in the Octagon its scary. When Bubba charged, Uriah waiting for an opening and just took it. It almost looked as if Bubba was gonna follow through with a takedown but got caught lol. I still think Uriahs weakness is on the ground. My DVR didn't record all the way so I didn't to see a preview of next week, but whoever is Uriahs opponent you can bet he'll take the fight to the ground. Standing with Uriah is just plain stupid.
