2012 WORLD SERIES - Detroit Tigers vs San Francisco Giants (SF SWEEPS DETROIT!)

Im not even worried about Cabrera/Fielder. McCann/Chipper in 2010, Howard/Utley in 2010, Hamilton/Kinsler/Cruz in 2010, Votto/Bruce/Phillips this year, Beltran/Holliday/Freese/Molina this year.....meh.

Its going to come down to the Giants being able to score off the hottest starting staff in baseball. Can we get to Verlander? Can we put the ball in play against Scherzer? Will we allow Anibal Sanchez to continue his massive career ownage on us? That will be the key to the series.

Chipper didnt play in the 2010 playoffs
I've been waiting for this since 1987

No thank you. For the record that was posted before game 7. So its not a dig at you Giants fans. Dude is pitching lights out.
People are picking the tigers to win and citing verlander as the main reason.

Did not know he was gonna pitch 4 games in the series

classy thread.

Unfortunately every team has fans like these. I really wish people like this were not allowed to watch or in any way have sports allowed in their lives.

A bunch of internet s**t talkers, I bet if any of them met Matt Holliday or Chris Carpenter in person they would get all star struck. And seriously the best people can come up with are gay jokes and AIDS? Really?

I was more shocked when someone tweeted that Joe Buck was rooting for SF to win. WTF?

Apparently Joe Buck said that even people in St. Louis say he hates the Cardinals, poor guy he can't win either way
Still trying to take it all in. We're back in the WS. I have friends in Ohio and Philly that are rooting for the Giants (mainly because they dislike St. Louis so much lol)

Anibal Sanchez scares me. He owns the Giants.

Yea, the A's would know that first hand.

Leland is not the type to start anyone 3 times. Verlander is going 2 if necessary, that is it
All of this Tiger talk seems oddly reminiscent of the way people matched up the Phillies against us in the 2010 NLCS.

Don't need to remind everyone how that turned out.
