So has Coach K made any official announcements on replacements for Bosh, Wade, Howard? Or all just speculations at this point?

Jerry Colangelo makes the call on who gets a try out, not Coach K.

this site updates the roster about ever 24-48 hours: http://www.usabasketball.com/mens/national/2012MOLYroster.html

I think Anthony Davis was added to the pool after Howard dropped off. I think because Bosh and Wade were late scratches they will just go with the 17 players they've already asked.

What a stupid f**king question

The last Olympic team had an average margin of victory of 27 points.

The team averaged 55% from the floor while holding opponents to just 40%

the 2008 lineup didn't even include Durant or Westbrook, losing Wade will hurt but the amount of depth that the United States has over any other nation is laughable. The 2012 Olympic team has gold already wrapped up.

My picks with 2008 experience and talent that plays well in the international style in mind:
Anthony
James
Igoudala
Gay
Chandler
Anthony Davis or Griffin (coaches decision)
Love
Bryant
Durant
Gordan (fills need of pure shooter ala ray allen/steph curry)
Paul
Williams or Westbrook (coaches decision)

Final Prediction:
Melo
Lebron
Igoudala
Gay/A. Davis (Gay's defensive length and scoring makes his game translate well to International ball but if Davis is healthy he beats him out)
Chandler
Griffin
Love
Bryant
Durant
C. Paul
D Williams
Westbrook (beats out pure shooter Gordon and plays key scoring 6th man role that D Wade dominated in China)
bryant, lebron, KD

who else do you need?

@NBATV: Airing the USA Basketball Selection Show to announce the 12 Olympic players @ 7p/ET followed by USAB news conference! #REPRESENT"

A rash of injuries and pullouts leading up to this week's opening of training camp prompted Team USA chairman Jerry Colangelo to say there are nine automatics for the 12-man roster that will be announced Saturday night live on NBA TV: Carmelo Anthony, Kobe Bryant, Tyson Chandler, Kevin Durant, LeBron James, Kevin Love, Chris Paul, Russell Westbrook and Deron Williams.

Sources told ESPN.com that Griffin quiely has been added to that group as well, leaving five players -- Anthony Davis, Rudy Gay, Eric Gordon, James Harden and Andre Iguodala -- in contention for the last two roster berths, to be revealed following Saturday's practice session.

One source said Friday that Iguodala and Harden went into camp as the favorites for the last two spots.
