gotta give a shout out to Monta, he gets his shot off well for a little guy.
Yeah many more Guards in today's game have got it down, but Dirk has definitely mastered it as well, Sports Science proved that it's literally almost impossible (or at least, to find a human that can) to block his fadeaway shot.

7 ft tall, fading back, need a pretty long wingspan to contest that... and if you notice, you get too close to Dirk to try and block, you can get kneed/kicked because of that leg extension, so it's a lose-lose situation trying to guard that.

Dirk's is better than Kobe's. There are times Kobe has to pass out it. Dirk, no need to pass out of it.

so Dirk's is better ... because he's taller?

Not just because he's taller. Dude's just as money on that shot...just as good as Kobe. So the next level would be who can execute with more ease and it's Dirk. I've seen Kobe get stuck and pass out of it whereas Dirk rarely passes out of that shot.

DWade's fade away from the elbow is pretty nasty wit it

Dirk's is way better than kobe's, even when he has someone his height on him, he just throws up an epic RAINBOW fade away, and its f**king baller.

Who hits it with more ease? Yeah Dirk. But if we talk about consistency and clutch effectiveness of the shot, I'll give them both the equal amount of credit b/c Kobe's proved himself and that fadeaway useful in crunch time, as has Dirk.

Dirk has it easier, but of course we can't take away from his game and say that's why Kobe's is better, no. Rather, I'd rest at this point and say that Kobe makes the more difficult fadeaways (in the sense that he's shooting over double teams and off balance, against people his height or taller), while Dirk just rises up, fades back, throws the ball up to God, and he throws it in.

Equal effectiveness, but it's hard to say who does it better since both have success with it. According to Kobe during a game, he says.. "Dirk does it well but I do it better, mine a lil sexier!" - referring to Dirk's one-leg fade. Now that one is patented by Dirk and is forever his, Kobe's just great at imitating and making your project look better while he remodels it, just look at how he's taken Jordan's fade and messed around with it.
