If league docs concur Brandon Roy isn't fit to play, his contract comes off Blazers books 1 year from date of official retirement.

If Roy gets medical retirement, but then comes back and plays in at least 10 games in a season, his contract goes back on Blazers' books.

Man, what a shame. It sucks to have to see an all star take a backseat early in his career due to injuries...

This sucks
Always liked Roy, especially back in his college days (I'm a Husky as well

)...Wished the Warriors had drafted him, loved his style of play and felt he would've fit in great with our style of play. Hope he finds something that makes him happy
