The NBA is such a mess. Its just retarded that the NBA is in control of one of their franchises and let other owners kill a deal. I hate the Lakers but the deal should have been allowed to go through. Its not like the Lakers were offering complete garbage.

I would love for the Lakers to make this deal and then for Paul to refuse an extension and sign with the Knicks. LOL

Looks like I missed the fun.

From a basketball standpoint, I wouldn't be terribly upset if this deal didn't go through. I don't think CP3 for Odom & Gasol makes the Lakers that much better. But if the league blocks the deal, it would be due to a tremendous conflict of interest on part of other owners. They're merely stewards for the franchise while they look for a buyer. By blocking the trade, they're looking out for the interests of their own franchise...not the Hornets'.

Chris Paul = Kevin Martin, Lamar Odom, Luis Scola, Goran Dragic, 2012 1st Rounder

I think it's hilarious that it got vetoed, but if they were going to veto it or not allow it, Stern shouldn't have let them start negotiating in the first place. Complete mess, but a very funny mess at that.
