While Dwight Howard would be interested in playing with Chris Paul on the Clippers, the two teams have not engaged in trade talks recently.
A deal for Howard centered around Blake Griffin would surely be something the Magic covet. But sources say the Clippers won't even deal Griffin for Howard.
And
The reportedly preference for Dwight Howard is to sign with the Nets in the offseason as a free agent, which would allow the franchise to retain the assets they do have.
Howard is enthused about teaming up with Deron Williams and he could likely receive a more lucrative adidas extension in Brooklyn.
The Magic haven't given up on keeping Howard and are interested in a trade for either Steve Nash or Monta Ellis, but both possibilities are remote

Dwight Howard is over rated and a 2nd fiddle. He's just not improving his game enough to be a go-to player. Bynum is the best true post player in the league and has worked hard to improve his skills. Dwight Howard, not so much. Bynum can be a true go-to player only if Kobe steps aside and only comes in at critical moments...like he did when he was 2nd fiddle to shaq.

I agree. But I think Bynum still needs a lot of polishing. Howard is overrated IMO.

Nah, he just needs more talent around him. I really think they can get to championship status with a Pau trade but nobody wants to give up much for Pau because everyone has already seen what he can't do when he is the #1 or #2 player on the team (Memphis).
Lakers need that PG and one solid bench player or make World Peace turn back into Ron Artest from 3 years ago.
