Very nice performance on that end from Kobe. He usually does a solid job on Westbrook, although I'm skeptical about his ability to do it over the course of 7 games. We still sucked major donkey balls on the pick & roll until the 4th quarter though. Jordan Hill did a great job on that, much better than Bynum normally does.

Yeah, I was equally frustrated with the offense down the stretch. That said, Pau has always given me the impression that he wants no part of the ball in those moments (most of the time) unless he's shooting an open jumper. There are a lot of times where he'll have the ball and all he does is look for where Kobe is...doesn't even try to attack. I thought OKC did trap him off of the PnR most of the time, and Kobe made some solid passes to Gasol after he rolled. That's why most of our buckets came off of terrible looks that Kobe just managed to knock down. (Blake made a really difficult corner 3 as well)

Basically, between that and Durant/Westbrook being cold, we got lucky down the stretch.

I couldn't agree with both post more. KD was unusually cold with good looks at the basket while Kobe seemed to not notice there were hands in his face down the stretch. We couldn't run any plays to get good shots.

I was at Applebees and saw the score earlier and thought it was over. Surprising that they came back, MWP elbow was just a dirty play even though I hate that black vagina face Harden.

MWP: hes responsible for the elbow but what the hell was Hardin doing brushing up against him? He should get suspended but I do feel Hardin was doing undercover dirty on his own. I'm just a little upset MWP hit a Sikh man.

Agreed. I don't think they can suspend him for a round of the playoffs though...it has to be a specified number of games.

In that case I would have to give him 10 games. I would be shocked if he didnt miss some playoff time.

I think he gets 5 games. I believe that the only time anyone's gotten 10+ games for an incident with another player was Kermit Washington's infamous punch. Carmelo Anthony, JR Smith, Nate Robinson, & a couple of other guys got 10-15 games a few years back in the Knicks/Nuggets brawl, but I think that had more to do with the fight spilling into the stands a bit and it being not too long after the Malice at the Palace.

But in a non-brawl/guys going into the stands scenario, I think Kermit Washington is the only guy to get that many games.

True but Artest obviously has a bad track record and that may have an impact and get a larger suspension than a "good guy" might get for the same infraction. You are probably right about the 5 games but I would give him more.

Well that was a nice surprise. I'm pretty sure if sincal was posting during the game he would have said it was over when the Lakers were down 18.



I think 5 games sounds right for MWP. Although that could get reduced, ala Bynums 5 games suspension reduced to 3 to start the season. We'll see.
