"i need to spend more time with my wife and kids" stop talking out of your ass. then takes a job with espn so that he could still have a job and spend time with the family. now he takes the gig at OSU. no i really really dislike buckeyes even more than ever.

Get your facts straight. He coached a full season after Tebow left.
Also, Ohio State is his dream job. He has a picture of Woody Hayes in his house and he's from Ohio. It's not like he took any old job. All the stuff involving his family is not really relevant. If you want to say he is a liar... perhaps, but no more than a Nick Saban or Bobby Petrino. At least Urban didn't have a coaching job when he jumped ship.
GAINESVILLE, Fla. -- With his wife and two of his three children sitting a few feet away, Urban Meyer didn't have to look very far to be reminded why he's leaving one of the premier jobs in college football.
It's all about family.
Meyer resigned from Florida on Wednesday, stepping down for the second time in less than a year. His first attempt, which lasted just a day, was for health reasons. This time it's to be a better husband and father.
"At the end of the day, I'm very convinced that you're going to be judged on how you are as a husband and as a father and not on how many bowl games we won," Meyer said at a campus news conference.
"I've not seen my two girls play high school sports. They're both very talented Division I-A volleyball players, so I missed those four years. I missed two already with one away at college. I can't get that time back," he said.
Meyer will coach his last game for Florida in the Jan. 1 Outback Bowl against Penn State in Tampa.
The 46-year-old coach led the Gators to two national titles but briefly resigned last December, citing health concerns. He had been hospitalized with chest pains after the Gators lost to Alabama in last season's Southeastern Conference championship game

ASU fires Erickson, as expected. He has ruined two of my favorite teams.
Lisa Love needs to make a MAJOR splash with her next hire. Her job depends on it.
Of course there is the usual list of college HC's and coordinators circulating for a replacement. But, if I was her, I'd make an effort to make it known I'm trying to make a big splash... regardless of it being a possiblity.
For that reason, I'd go after:
1) Jon Gruden
2) Mike Singletary (I think he'd be an amazing college coach if he had talented coordinators. Few will out-recruit him. And his schtick would do very well in the college game.)
Even if she can't land these guys...at least the PR will be good. And she needs it.

Wow, totally disagree on your selections. I don't think you could be more off, why would we go after an ex-NFL coach? We are a mid-tier (well now bottom-tier) BCS school with limited cash supply. Jon Gruden? Seriously? Why on earth would he be interested in coaching a mid-tier college program when he spent the last 20 years of his career coaching/covering the NFL? No way Gruden would be remotely interested.
And Singletary? You kidding me? Guy has as much ability to game plan and use strategy as a rock. As a niner fan, I'm shocked you would want him to take over ASU. He has never proven he can coach, aside from motivating players with rah-rah speeches.
ASU should be going after Sumlin or Fedora. Both are up and coming coaches who are 2 of the top offensive minds in the game that ASU has the ability of luring and paying.

Singletary wont go and become a college HC. If he didnt want to go to his alma mater when his star was white hot, hes not gonna want to go to ASU. ASU or UCLA should give Mike Leach a ring.

lol, you really think you are in a position to judge Urban Meyer's character?
I will never understand why people hold grudges against coaches that change jobs. Its a JOB, its not their identity and they are free to go where they wish.
