Steven A. Smith is always going crazy about everything though.

You could say grass is green and the sky is blue and the dude will have something to say.

You put that clown Skip Bayless with him and dude is even more of a lunatic
Perhaps he can win a title or 2 before anyone should really think he is a better player than MJ. At this point the statement is just stupid even coming from Scottie Pippin.

I think pippen is just butt hurt he plays second fiddle to jordan that is the reason why he stated that.

Lebron is 26...and has 0 titles. Jordan had 0 titles when he was 26.

Even though I don't rate Lebron better than Jordan, and I don't compare Lebron to Jordan...because they are different players. Lebron is more Magic like, than Jordan like...but let's put Pippen's comments in perspective. He said, "Michael Jordan is probably the greatest scorer to ever play in the game. But I may go as far to say Lebron James may be the the greatest player to ever play the game"

"may be"

Jordan totaled 2,514 steals, 893 blocks and 6,672 rebounds by his retirement. LeBron James on the other hand has 1,221 steals, 622 blocks and 5,182 rebounds already. - BleacherReport

As for the Championship argument...it helps if you have a good team around you. When Jordan retired after wining 3 titles, his team still was one of the best in the league. When Lebron left Cleveland, his team was competing for the worst record in the league.

...and again, Pippen said "may be" - and I don't think anyone questions that Lebron is a better passer or a rebounder or shot-blocker.
Jordan is the best

If you are even bringing up Horry in comparison to MJ you are not even a knowledgable basketball fan. Horry got those rings piggybacking on Hakeem Olajuwon, Kobe and Shaq, and then Tim Duncan/Tony Parker/Manu Ginobili. If you honestly think that Lebron is better than Jordan, you are nuts. MJ was a better defensive player and a much more skilled offensive player. He won 6 titles as the undisputed #1. You also brought up how at age 26 Jordan was ringless and didnt win till he was 27. Big difference is LeBron has been in the league 8 years now I believe, MJ had been in the league only 6 years before he won his title, this is LeBron's 8th year and he is not even the undisputed #1 on his own team. You are just saying this crap because you are a huge LeBron homer and you are a heat fan.

LOL @ LeBron not being the #1 on his own team. He is the best player in the league.

I said undisputed #1. He might be 1.A but then Wade is definitely 1.B. Even if LeBron is the best player on the Heat is not the #1 option all the time, and he came to Wade's team instead of having other people go to his team. Wade already won a ring without LeBron.
The only 1a/1b is when it comes to scoring.

Overall player, Lebron is much better compared to Wade.

Yeah but who was the #1 on their Jr. High Basketball team? LOL came to his team. LeBron is the best player on the Heat that isn't even debatable.
