Riley and Nellie will probably stay for this year, their contracts end after this year, and then they will be gone.

I doubt Ellison fires them this late into the offseason.

Warriors fans are hoping that Ellison is a competent owner. Hiring Dunleavy would be a first impression that Ellison would never recover from.

It has nothing to do with money.

It has to do with the fact that most attractive coaching candidates this late into the offseason are no longer available.

As crzy said, no one is gone this season, but next season I full expect a clean house.

Honestly what I can see happen is Nellie mails it in after a 5-8 game losing streak to begin the year or somewhere in the beginning and get canned so he gets his money. Then Smart as the intern to audition for the part and if he does well he gets extended if not we get a new qualified coach.
