The fact that he's supposedly quoting a member of the Laker front office is intriguing, but he could very well be pulling it out of his ass.

I was wondering who might be this executive he got word from.
Interview after Kobe's 1st start:

LMAO! With no first round pick, and late 2nds, WTF would I want to buy this hat instead of just sporting my Back 2 Back Championship hat?
^^ Basketball isn't going to be the same for me when Kobe leaves

Lakers, Raja Bell may have mutual interest

because that might be the sickest lakers hat i've ever seen.
Yes Stoney that is a pretty sick lakers hat... prolly the best draft day cap ever.

I wouldn't mind him off the bench, at all.

Supposedly Kobe's one of the big proponents of the idea. Remember, just a little over a year ago Kobe & Artest were elbowing each other in the head under the basket. Hungry, competitive veterans are always a good thing to have on your team. And Bell does have some Tri PG abilities.

My only concern is the loss of athleticism if Farmar AND Shannon are gone.

Would be a great signing IMO, imagine a defensive unit at the end of the game that looks like this

Kobe
Raja
Artest
Gasol
Bynum

NO BUCKETTSS!!!

would there be any regrets here if farmar leaves. this leaves this team with a soon to be 36 yr old fish and who else playing the point???

Read the first post in this thread for the most likely candidates.
