Same goes for Chicharito who proved to be the real deal, he only needed more opportunities to get a better feel for world class level futbol. Why was Franco on the field at all, he's was just a waste of a roster spot. Franco was a difference maker in the negative sense. Franco took valuable experience from another young player who is going to be playing in 4 years. I hope Aguirre never coaches "el Tri."
or his lovely assistant Mario Carillo who helped him make these decisions. I want chepo de la torre or Marcelo Bielsa.

He's done coaching el tri. He said it before the world cup that after the world cup even if mexico won it he would not coach them anymore.

actually, after the game he was asked if he would keep on coaching mexico and he kinda hinted at leaving the door open to that option.

Tough game yesterday. Mistakes vs any team will cost you especially a good team.
I think the team lost their composure after the off side goal, I saw lots of fouls by Mexico between the goal and halftime not to mention the assist on Higuains goal. Argentina called off the dogs after the third goal. Mexico had their way after that but it was too late.
Good run, I was shocked when I heard Mexico had lost in the KO Stage 5 WC's straight. I think in 2014 you guys should get over the hump.
One more thing FIRE AGUIRE.

I would like to think this thread and Mexicos push at the World Cup made us all alil closer. I want to start following soccer more now, i just don't know where to start, or which team to root for.
Ideally when i start watching a new sport, it helps to have ONE team to root for, and eventually other games/teams/leagues will be more appealing.
Do i start with the MLS (Galaxy?), its hard to watch their games cause there isn't much prime/air time.
Or shall I start with my ancestral roots and follow the Mexican league with the Monarcas?
Dare i go a step further and watch those crummy "elite' European leagues? I don't really like em, but I almost wanna go for Machester United cause they are giving our boy Chicharito a shot.
Agh!!! Either way, you guys have been great and i look forward to more soccer talk with everyone on here.

its koo that u want to start following soccer a bit more.
me personally iam a Chiva at heart. i watch almost every game.
in terms of other leagues, i just follow teams that our mexicans are in. so i watch a lot of leagues. i just keep up with them and cheer for them and not necessarily the team itself. so every time i see cheech on the pitch at man u i will support him.
