Wizards, Magic Might Be Talking Arenas For Carter Swap
Jun 23, 2010 11:21 PM EST
According to a trusted source, the Wizards and Magic might be discussing a trade involving Gilbert Arenas for Vince Carter.
Michael Lee of the Washington Post confirmed the discussions, but there is 'nothing to it now.'
RealGM Note: Arenas is close to Magic GM Otis Smith from his time in the Golden State front office.
Wow
Jameer Nelson
Gilbert Arenas
?
Rashard Lewis
Dwight Howard
Vince Carter wouldnt be happy with this trade..lol
I've heard that before..still not so sure about that..if we had Arenas at the 2, we'd NEED Lewis at the 3 to have more size out there..In a dream world, I want to swap Pietrus, Gortat, and a Fran Vazquez for Carlos Boozer..and then swap Carter for Arenas.
Nelson
Arenas
Lewis
Boozer
Howard

After thinking about it give us Peitrus, Gortat, Bass or Anderson, and possibly a futurue 1st rounder or a couple 2nd rounders and you got yourself a deal!

Magic coach Stan Van Gundy has been privately raving about free-agent guard J.J. Redick, claiming he is the only guy on his roster that truly cares about the game of basketball.
Van Gundy is hoping that ownership will do all they can to keep Redick in Orlando.
The Celtics and Hawks are impressed with Redick, who could command mid-level exception money over five years.

I doubt Stan Van Gundy actually said that.

Chris Duhon for 4 years/$15M.
Solid signing. I think he's the kinda guy that would be a good role player on a championship contender. Good defender, smart guy, supposedly good in the locker room.

Ray Allen is going back to Boston...2 years 20 million. So next year Boston, Miami, and Chicago will all be very solid. We've added....Duhon.

I know you don't want to lose JJ, but would you really want him at that price?

Would love to keep him in Orlando, but I believe the Bulls are overspending for JJ. Thats what they get for getting rid of Heinrich in their failed attempt to get LBJ.
Otis Smith is going to use the full 7 days to decide.

No, I'd love to have Redick..but that is a high price tag.
We have plenty of other high price tags on this roster..and if we lose Redick, we need to find a player similar..another great shooter to come off the bench and provide that spark. Korver is already gone, not sure what else is out there.
