The only thing I don't like about all-time drafts is that it's too easy to pick your team, there's little thought that goes into it.
Everybody ends up with a team full of hall of famers.

Yeah I woulda preferred a current MLB draft just so we wouldn't all be the greatest teams ever assembled.

The key thing I'm worried about is drafting the older players like Cobb, Ruth, etc and have them owned by the more recent players. The NBA draft has pretty much proved that if you got anyone from the 50's and early 60s you're at a disadvantage against the more athletic players from the 70s to today. Baseball is a totally different sport so I don't think it will be as big of a difference as basketball but there's still the possibility.

Plus its up to the managers on the NBA thing, the old timers do well (I know mine do), it just depends on how many minutes are given for them to produce...and the rotations.
But baseball is totally different, Cobb, hornsby, gehrig, dimaggio, etc....they will all be franchise players in todays game. You got to understand, their ball parks, were enormous when they played. These modern stadiums are so much smaller than the ones played back in the day. They would RAKE in these smaller ballparks.

30 teams, with 25 spots each.. Thats 750 players. I dont think its going to be too easy during the later rounds

30 teams is too many, I said that when John proposed the idea, but again its not up to me.
