I recently sent a email to NBA and asked about activating my companion broadband part in addition to the TV part.
They said it would take 3-5 days to process it, what does that mean?

I'll tell you what sucks, just finding out last night the annual free trial has been going and ends tonight. Seems like it usually starts a little later and lasts a little longer. Last year by some glitch I had it for like 2 months for free.

no glitch. I bet what happened is that whoever put the free preview out there forgot to remove it. It happens all the time. But not in my system, I'm on point with that s**t. I'll remove the free preview tomorrow when I come in for work.

That was a glitch if you got it for free that long. Every single year they give the first week of the season for free. And as far as I'm aware, it's always been only one week. I know this because it pisses me off having to watch them advertise it on the bottom of the screen when I already have payed for it.

Yes, but for $150 or $180 or whatever it is, they can't get better quality feeds?

$189.00 starting tomorrow.
But yea man, we were getting complaints here about the quality so we started looking into it and it's the same everywhere. So that's on the NBA. Hopefully they're getting complaints too, but they'd probably just point the finger the other way.

No kidding. If the telecasts were in high def I might actually pay for it. I just cant stand watching anything that isnt in high def anymore.

I figured that's what it was, but it seems like, especially with HD having raised the bar on people's perception of video quality, the NBA would get the best feeds possible. These games look like they're running from VCRs on old tapes from the 80's.

they offer SOME games in HD and are supposed to start offering even more games in HD soon. Problem is, not all systems carry the HD feeds. Why? Who the f**k knows. I've been telling our Marketing dept. to add the HD feeds for the sports packages to the lineup but apparently it's not a top priority. But hey, we just added HBO Latino HD and CNBC HD.
