Rodriguez, though, has had some success getting Pujols out. The seven-time All-Star is only 3-for-18 lifetime against the Houston left-hander, and none of those hits went for extra bases.

Rodriguez is 2-2 with a 1.11 ERA in his last five starts against the Cardinals dating to Sept. 20, 2007.

Getting Pujols to go quietly, however, won’t be easy. The reigning NL MVP is 9-for-21 with three homers and five walks this season.

“I am just blown away by that guy,” starter Adam Wainwright told the Cardinals’ official Web site after pitching five shutout innings Saturday. “I think he’s the best hitter of all time. I think there’s never been a better hitter than him.”

f**k I'm glad I don't have Chris Carpenter's luck that guy has the worst luck. I feel horrible for you guys.


On another note I was driving downtown a couple days ago and a blazer had a license plate with STL CHC on it and had the Cubs and Cards logo on the back window. Isn't that some sort of sin?
