That has to be the worst starting rotation in the majors. Wow.. long season ahead for the A's
Get over your hate of the A's. It's not the worst. It's not very good and not really a playoff caliber rotation but it's not the worst. Their is a lot of youth in the rotation and it could turn out to be a good rotation if everything comes together but I'm not going to pretend that I'm not a little scared about it.
But the worst? Get out.
LOL. I would really only hate it if the A's were good and a contender. I dont hate them now. Seriously, they have to have one of the bottom 5 rotations anyway.

Ya really. A's have a lot of talent in the minors but this rotation right now is way below standard. When Duch is back and their kids mature it will be a different story. However, at the start of the year I do think this ranking is right.
Not trying to make enemies. Just be honest and ask yourself where this rotation really ranks right now
You're completely backtracking bro. You go from decalring the A's rotation as the worst in the majors, to bottom 5, to potentially pretty good once Duke gets back and the young guys mature which is exactly the point I was making.
Isn't so much easier when we can all agree? 
ok.. saying they were the worst was a stretch. I also think that they will have a nice young staff in 2010. I do stand by what I said, however, about their staff right now. They better score lots of runs.

Which was a reason why I had reservations about this upcoming season even with the improved moves to spark the offense.
This pitching staff other than Duke are extremely inexperienced and even Duke has very little major league starting experience dating to last season as he's been strictly a RP since being called up years ago.
And Duke isn't even the most experienced SP in the bigs on this staff, it's Eveland and all that experience is mainly based on last season which was his first season as a full time SP essentially.
Again this was supposed to be a year for the youngsters to grow and make mistake and learn from them but they're gonna be put in a tough situation for a team that's supposed to be built for a legit post season run.

Anderson after having a rough 1st against what most likely is the LAD opening day lineup, settled down and pitched very well the rest of the game.
Who knew, the A's most reliable SP heading into the season is a rookie.

Well was watching ESPN's BBTN earlier today and they mentioned BOS having some issues with health this season with Ortiz, Lowe, and Drew that if things don't go as well like last season, they could be in the market for guess who...Holliday.
Now a lot think if some teams aren't contending by May or June, teams will trade away their big name players ala the A's with Holliday, Halladay/Wells from TOR, and etc.
I don't know what BOS could offer that the A's would want. I think Buchholz who ESPN has been praising as he's having a GREAT ST so far, sub 0.50 ERA so he's not going any where. Neither is an Anderson their top positional prospect who most likely will be a 1B or DH for that team for the next decade if he's legit.
Who else is there? BOS has a good farm system but beyond those two players, I don't know if they have anybody that would interests the A's that they would trade Holliday for.

Read on mlb.com that Bud Selig is appointing someone to look over the prospects of the A's getting a baseball stadium in their T rights. I'm crossing my fingers they come to the same conclusion as Wolff does and allows San Jose talks to start up but I'm not holding my breathe expectantly.

Who knows. Milwakee traded LaPorta last year for 2 months of Sabathia. If a team is serioud enough about winning now we could probably get a pretty nice prospect out of him....or if not we take the two draft picks and move on.

All depends on where we are at the deadline. If we're competing we keep him, if not im sure beane could turn him into some nice prospects.
