I really don't understand all the fretting over the new alternate uniforms. Are they the best looking thing ever or trendsetting? No, but not horrible. Have other teams already used this idea for alternates before? Yes but if it helps them play more badass on Monday night then I'm all for it. People will get over their hangups after settling in to watch the game, or maybe they'll be distracted by their fixation on the unis if the team is sucking ass.

Key Matchups for MNF

Battle of the trenches

Seems Vikes have the upper hand on us considering how good are their front seven (Griffen,Floyd,Barr,Greenway) vs our guys (Staley,Boone & rest). If it were about brute force then we're lost for sure but if Chryst can make a gameplan which Kap throw quick darts to every receiver (RBs,WRs & TEs) in order to stretch the field and open the big bombs and read options with 3 runners (Kap with either Hyde,Bush or Hayne).

Make Bridgewater to hold the ball

One of biggest asset as passer is he threw ball just as quick as Peyton does so we cannot blitz him with too many players because is gonna torch us all night long. Defense has to win the line of scrimmage with 4 or 5 guys max in order to keep the coverage tight to any potencial receiver either Wallace, Johnson, Patterson, Rudolph or Peterson. Bowman,Tartt, Reid and Bethea are gonna be fundamental to keep the middle field while Acker,Reaser and Johnson be wary of the lines.

Position of field

Special teams has to take advantage either on offense and defense. Pinion must keep Vikes O behind 10 yd line and Hayne or Ellington must get us into midfield or even further so Kap has enough space to move freely also keep Brigdewater behind the wall.

That would be a kick ass opening! I for one love them, yes it's different from anything 49ers have done but that's ok. It's fun to explore new looks.

At least we don't have ugly throwbacks and use them like other teams (steelers)

So ugly. They just look too bland with the black pants with the black jerseys. It makes them look like practice uni's imo, which they basically were. They might not look so bad if they kept the gold pants, but the all black is too much IMO. But the national media is going to laugh at us even more than they have been already when we come out with these on.
